Play by map

Play by map is the original game mode in GeoGuessr. The user can pick any map including those created by themselves or by the community.

Each map has 5 rounds in which the user is placed in different locations. The locations may be hand-picked, or can be automatically selected from an area. Depending on the distance of the guess to the target, they can get up to 5000 points per round. A perfect game is a score of 25000.

The player can choose between Single Player and Challenge mode. Also, game settings are available in this mode.
